Privacy Policy — PurpleLab Quick Find
Last updated: September 2, 2026
PurpleLab Quick Find is a Chrome extension that helps support agents find a contact within their organization's Chatwoot instance and open their conversation.
Data we collect
None.
The extension does not collect, store, sell, or transmit personal data to PurpleSeedLab or any third party. There is no server belonging to the extension, nor a database, nor an analytics service, nor an error reporting service.
How it works with your data
To display search results, the extension reads contact information—name, phone number, email, case number, and conversation status—from your organization's Chatwoot instance.
Regarding that process:
- The information is requested from your own Chatwoot server and displayed in your browser. It doesn't leave there. It is not sent to PurpleSeedLab or any third party.
- Requests use the Chatwoot session you are already logged in with, and therefore only return information that your account already has permission to view. The extension does not expand your permissions.
- The extension does not store credentials. It does not include or store any API tokens or passwords.
- The results are temporarily kept in the tab's memory for quick searching, and disappear when it is closed. They are not written to disk.
- All requests are from Read-only. The extension never modifies, creates, or deletes information in Chatwoot. Creating a contact opens Chatwoot's own form.
Where does the extension plug in
Only to the Chatwoot instance for which it was installed. The extension does not run on any other website and does not make network requests to any other domain.
The «Open in WhatsApp» and «Web» buttons are links: when clicked, your own
Team, open the WhatsApp app, or WhatsApp Web in a new tab, with
the contact's number. That action is performed by your browser or your system a
request from you; the extension does not send data to WhatsApp on its own.
Permissions
The extension does not request any Chrome permissions. It declares a single origin—the organization's Chatwoot—because its interface is displayed over that page and its requests must be of the same origin in order to use your session.

Privacy Policy — PurpleLab Quick Find
Last updated: September 2, 2026
PurpleLab Quick Find is a Chrome extension that helps support agents find a contact in their organisation’s Chatwoot instance and open that contact’s conversation.
Data we collect
None.
The extension does not collect, store, sell, or transmit personal data to PurpleSeedLab or to any third party. There is no server belonging to the extension, no database, no analytics, and no error-reporting service.
How it handles your data
To display search results, the extension reads contact information — name, phone number, email address, record number, and conversation status — from your organisation’s own Chatwoot instance.
- That information is requested from your own Chatwoot server and rendered in your browser. It goes nowhere else. It is never sent to PurpleSeedLab or to any third party.
- Requests use the Chatwoot session you are already signed in with, and therefore return only what your account is already permitted to see. The extension does not broaden your permissions.
- The extension stores no credentials. It contains and saves no API token and no password.
- Results are held briefly in the tab’s memory to keep searching fast, and are discarded when the tab closes. Nothing is written to disk.
- Every request is read-only. The extension never modifies, creates, or deletes anything in Chatwoot; creating a contact opens Chatwoot’s own form.
Where the extension connects
Only to the Chatwoot instance it was installed for. It does not run on any other website and makes no network requests to any other domain.
The «Open in WhatsApp» and «Web» buttons are links: clicking one makes your own
machine open either the WhatsApp desktop application or WhatsApp Web in a new
tab, with the contact’s number. That action is performed by your browser or your
operating system at your request; the extension does not send data to WhatsApp
on its own.
Permissions
The extension requests no Chrome permissions. It declares a single host origin — the organisation’s Chatwoot — because its interface renders over that page and its queries must be same-origin in order to use your session.
